September 20 I'm BackWell the summer is gone and I have been hitting the books like there's no tomorrow. My trip to Toronto was successful, though to some degree I'm still sorting how to fit the research into my chapters, and figuring out how to revise my arguments so that it all makes senss but that's an organic process. I find out this week or early next if I have a TAship ant the UofWinnipeg, I'm hoping I do. It should be interesting. And last but certainly not least I have a new friend who just moved to the Peg recently. Welcome to the Peg Kat.
Talk to you all soon, hopefully before the snow falls. July 26 The FringeSo after not much to report pther than the usual studying, tonight Juliana and I went to the Winnipeg Fringe Festival to see one of her friends prodcutions. It was really good, except I only saw half the show ... my seat was so bad I could only see half the stage. Other than that it was full of laughs. We were bumping into people we knew all night it was cool. I can't wait to get underway to TO though and finish up my research.
Goodnight and Good Luck,
Julian July 21 What a day ...So today was interesting. I have spent the last few days in much pain due to my continuing knee problems. Well today was the piece de resistance, I had a massive headache on top of it. The only way I could function was by taking a pain killer that almost knocked me out. So on top of that I had to finish my loan forms for school and I had a by-laws meeting for the GSA today to go over what needs to be done over this year, namely a complete overhaul. Luckily, though I was fading in and out for most of the day I managed to be alert enough for these two items.
Of course then I arrived home only to find the plumming in the bathroom had sprung a leak. So until the morning I am without facilities. I am sooo damn glad I am moving into a nicer building at the end of the month.
A bientot,
Julian July 19 Rumor'sWell last night Juliana and I went to Rumor's comedy club and saw Ron Josol preform. He was incredibly funny. It was a good evening off from the same old study schedual of writing and reading. I guess that's all for now Just a short entry.
A bientot,
Julian July 16 The King's HeadSo tonight I finally went to the King's head Pub after two years in the Peg (yay only one year left). BUt tonight I saw this awesome musician from Seattle, Jason Welbey. He had a cool and unique sound. You can check him out at www.jasonwebley.com. He ended with the an entertaining drinking song, where he got everyone to spin in circles for about a minute to simulate the drunk experience.
Well that's it for now,
Julian |
